Ring of Scott

This ride starts and finishes on the campus of Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, just 6 miles south of Sylva, NC. This ride has the Ring of Fire with the addition of climbing Buck Creek and going through Highlands, NC. This 64-mile “loop” has three major climbs (Cullowhee Mountain, Buck Creek, & Ellijay) and one minor climb. Named “Ring of Scott” by one local cyclist, it is really just the Ring of Fire with extra hot sauce. Elevation gain is approximately 8,400’.
