Sylva - Waynesville Loop 2

This loop begins in Sylva, and takes Skyland Drive and Dark Ridge Road up to Balsam Gap. You take US23 briefly to Barber’s Orchard, then take Old Balsam Road into Waynesville. Turn right onto NC 276 then right onto NC 215 and climb up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn right onto the Parkway. You take the Parkway back to Balsam Gap after crossing over Richland Balsam, the highest point on the Blue Ridge Parkway roadway.  You then travel back to Sylva via Dark Ridge and Skyland drive. The route is ~75 miles. The elevation gain for this ride is approximately 7000’.
