Tuesday Night Group Ride |

During Daylight Savings Time (March - October) there is a group ride that departs from the bike shop in Sylva, NC that rides, via backroads, to the post office at Balsam, NC. The ride is about 25 miles round trip and gives the cyclist a little bit of everything. The first 4 miles out of town are flat, and then there is climbing the rest of the way to the post office. The route is an out-and-back, so you get to descend and then have a nice flat run-in to town. There are usually two groups of riders, the hardcores and the not-so-much hardcores. The ride is a lot of fun and you get to experience everything from pacelines, climbing, descending, and sprinting. Come out and enjoy it with us. The ride leaves at 6:00PM sharp. Feel free to gather and chat at the bike shop (enjoy the sandbagging). Elevation gain is approximately 1,600’. |
