This ride begins and ends at the East Swain Elementary School near Whittier, NC. It is also the route for the Whittier Group Ride at 6:00PM on Wednesday evenings during Daylight Savings Time from April to October. There are usually several different levels of cyclist, so one to match your pace and ability is very likely. The route is rolling and very challenging to stay with the lead group. Be careful during the short stretch on US 19 and when crossing US 441/74. Elevation gain is approximately 1,000’. |
